"Guide to Obtaining Lightcrystal in Monster Hunter Wilds"
In *Monster Hunter Wilds*, just slaying and capturing monsters isn't enough to progress. You'll need to gather materials yourself to forge and upgrade your armor and weapons. Here’s a comprehensive guide on how to farm Lightcrystals and utilize them effectively.
Monster Hunter Wilds Lightcrystal Farming Locations
To obtain Lightcrystals in *Monster Hunter Wilds*, you'll need to mine them from Mining Outcrops. Keep in mind that acquiring them can be somewhat random, so patience is key. Here are the prime locations where you can find Mining Outcrops:
- Windward Plains: Areas 1, 2, 3, 7, 9, 10, 17
- Oilwell Basin: Areas 4, 6, 7
- Iceshard Cliffs: Areas 8, 16
- Ruins of Wyveria: Area 5
After mining, Mining Outcrops will respawn in about 15 to 20 minutes. Use this time to explore other areas and farm different resources before returning to your Lightcrystal spots.
How to Use Lightcrystals
Once you've gathered enough Lightcrystals, head back to Gemma at Base Camp. You can use these crystals to forge or upgrade a variety of weapons and armor. Here's a list of equipment that requires Lightcrystals:
- Guild Knight Sabers I
- Dragon Perforator II
- Dual Hatchets II
- Triple Bayonet II
- Iron Assault II
- Iron Gale II
- Chain Blitz II
- Iron Accelerator II
- Hyperguard II
- Buster Sword II
- Iron Hammer II
- Metal Bagpipe II
- Chrome Drill II
- Iron Katana II
- Iron Beater II
- Ingot Vambraces
- Thunder Charm III
While many of these items, except for the Thunder Charm, may be outclassed quickly, they are essential stepping stones in your journey. Don't get too attached, as you'll likely find better replacements soon.
