Hayden Christensen Returns as Anakin in Ahsoka Season 2 - Star Wars Celebration
The recent announcement at Star Wars Celebration has thrilled fans with the news that Hayden Christensen will reprise his iconic role as Anakin Skywalker in Season 2 of the Ahsoka series. While details about Anakin's involvement remain under wraps, the confirmation of his return promises more thrilling interactions between Ahsoka and her former master.
During the Ahsoka panel at the event, Christensen expressed his enthusiasm about stepping back into Anakin's shoes. "It was a dream to get to do," he remarked, highlighting the innovative approach of exploring the World Between Worlds. "The way they conceived how to do it was brilliant... I thought it was all really exciting."
Series creator Dave Filoni humorously noted the lengths he went to in order to collaborate with Christensen again, saying, "I had to invent entire dimensions to make it happen." This playful remark underscores the creative efforts behind bringing Anakin back into the fold.
Christensen also delved into the discussions he had with the team about Anakin's activities during the Clone Wars, expressing his eagerness to translate these stories from animation to live-action. "As much as I love the traditional Jedi robes I wore during the prequels, it was exciting to get to see Anakin with a new look," he shared, indicating fans can expect a fresh visual take on the character.
Further into the panel, Filoni discussed how their mutual experiences working with George Lucas helped shape their approach to Anakin's character. This collaboration allowed them to fill in knowledge gaps and craft a comprehensive portrayal. Christensen echoed this sentiment, mentioning Lucas's influence with a quote: "I always have George's voice in the back of my head saying, 'faster, more intense!'"For more insights, explore why Ahsoka stands as a powerful tribute to Anakin Skywalker's legacy, get a first look at Rory McCann as Baylan Skoll in Ahsoka Season 2, and stay updated with all the major announcements from The Mandalorian & Grogu and Andor panels.
