Imperial Miners Goes Digital: Android Version Now Available
Portal Games Digital has released a digital adaptation of their popular board game, Imperial Miners, for Android devices. This card game centers around strategic mine construction and expansion. The Android release follows the success of other similar titles from Portal Games Digital, including Neuroshima Convoy, Imperial Settlers: Roll & Write, and Tides of Time.
Imperial Miners was designed by Tim Armstrong, renowned for games like Arcana Rising and Orbis, and features artwork by Hanna Kuik, whose credits include Batman: Everybody Lies and Dune: House Secrets.
Gameplay Overview:
Players manage underground excavations, aiming to create the most efficient mine by strategically using cards to build a subterranean empire. Gameplay begins on the surface, progressing to deeper levels where players collect Crystals and Carts to earn Victory Points. A unique card-playing system activates effects and triggers cards stacked above, offering strategic depth. Six distinct factions provide diverse combinations and strategic options. The game unfolds over ten rounds, each introducing a new Event that can significantly impact strategy. Three randomly selected Progress boards from a total of six offer varying strategic focuses, ensuring replayability.
Is it Worth a Download?
Imperial Miners is a well-crafted engine-building game that faithfully recreates the original board game's appeal in a digital format. Priced at $4.99 on the Google Play Store, it's a compelling option for fans of strategy card games. Check it out! For more gaming news, see our other articles, including a review of "Bad Credit?
