Infinity Nikki Delays V1.6 Launch Amid Community Backlash
After weeks of anticipation and numerous inquiries from the player base, the developers behind *Infinity Nikki* have finally addressed the community's concerns. The rocky rollout of Version 1.5, which many felt was underwhelming and incomplete, has been acknowledged by the team. They've admitted that the launch wasn't up to par, leading to the decision to delay the much-anticipated Version 1.6.
When Is the Update Releasing?
Originally slated for release on June 4th, Version 1.6 has now been rescheduled to June 12th. This delay means that the current Bubble Season will be extended, keeping all its exciting events like Chase the Bubbles, Rainbow Album, and Where Are the Gifties? active until the new release date. Additionally, stores such as Pear-Pal Selected/Store: Clothing, Heartfelt Gifts, and the Shake Up Bubble Jar! top-up event will remain open. Weekly tasks, including Starlit Pursuit, which was set to begin on May 20th, are now postponed to coincide with Version 1.6.
The development team has issued an apology, citing challenges with performance across different platforms, including PlayStation. They are currently refining the gameplay systems and have reassured players that missing storylines, such as Threads of Reunion, are not being abandoned but merely delayed.
Apart from the Version 1.6 Delays, What’s Up with Infinity Nikki?
The game has recently been plagued with bugs, broken quests, and issues with co-op functionality. In an effort to mitigate the impact on players, the developers are offering compensation in the form of 120 Diamonds and 1 Crystal per day from June 5th to June 12th. Players must log in daily to claim these rewards.
Some community members view this as a strategic move to bolster engagement metrics following the recent setbacks. There's also a sentiment of frustration among players, as the apology was quickly overshadowed by promotional banners for new outfits.
