Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy - All Power Cells in Misty Island
Navigating Misty Island in Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy
Misty Island, a pivotal location in Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, presents a thrilling challenge for players. This guide details how to access the island and conquer its various obstacles to claim its hidden treasures.
Accessing Misty Island
Before venturing to Misty Island, you must complete a task in the Forbidden Jungle: help the fisherman catch 200 pounds of fish. This earns you a Power Cell and access to the Speedboat in Sandover Village, your transportation to Misty Island.
The Sculptor's Muse
Your first objective is retrieving the Sculptor's Lost Muse. Located near the Misty Island docks, this golden creature requires a chase. Utilize roll jumps and strategically destroy large bones to create pathways, intercepting the Muse during its turns. Once captured, return the Muse to the Sculptor in Sandover Village for a Power Cell (save this for later).
Blue Eco and the Precursor Door
After retrieving the Muse, locate a platforming section with blue eco orbs leading to a Precursor Door. Collect the blue eco and proceed to a Precursor Platform (see image 3). Charging the platform with blue eco allows you to cross the gap to another Power Cell.
Conquering the Lurker Arena
Return to the Dark Eco Pool area, but first, face a Lurker arena challenge. Use blue eco and enter the Precursor Door. Defeat waves of Lurkers, utilizing their dropped red eco to your advantage, while dodging aerial explosives. Victory reveals stairs leading to the Dark Eco Pool and another Power Cell.
The Lurker Ship and Cannon
Next, navigate to Misty Island's bay and the Lurker Ship, accessible via a bridge. Climb the ship to obtain a Power Cell. Continue upward, dodging rolling and bouncing logs, to reach a cannon. Defeat the Lurkers guarding it for another Power Cell. Use the cannon to destroy metal boxes in the arena below for Precursor Orbs.
Balloon Lurkers and Zoomer Chase
Use the Zoomer (accessible via a trans-pad near the Lurker Ship) to eliminate five Balloon Lurkers patrolling the bay. Master the Zoomer's controls (brakes, accelerator, and hop) to navigate mines and target the Lurkers effectively. Defeating them rewards you with a Power Cell.
Zoomer Power Cell and Scout Flies
Utilize the Zoomer to reach a final Power Cell located atop a ramp (see image 1 and 2). Finally, locate seven Scout Flies scattered across Misty Island. Several are accessible through platforming challenges, utilizing seesaws and precise jumps (see images 4 and 5). One is located on the Lurker Ship, and another is found while using the Zoomer.
Conclusion
With all Power Cells and Scout Flies collected, and the Sculptor's Muse returned, your Misty Island adventure concludes.
