Marvel Rivals' Recursive Destruction Explained: Unlocking Power in EoE Midtown
Marvel Rivals Season 1: Unleashing Recursive Destruction in Midtown
Season 1 of Marvel Rivals explodes onto the scene with new characters, maps, and game modes, plus a fresh set of challenges offering free rewards, including a Thor skin. This guide focuses on unlocking Recursive Destruction in the Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown map.
What is Recursive Destruction?
The initial challenge in the "Blood Moon Over the Big Apple" series requires triggering Recursive Destruction, a unique mechanic in this hero shooter. It occurs when you destroy a Dracula-influenced object, and it reappears in its original state. Don't waste time shooting everything; focus on specific targets.
Identifying Destructible Objects
To locate these objects, utilize Chrono Vision (accessed via the "B" key on PC and the right D-pad button on consoles). Only objects highlighted in red can trigger Recursive Destruction.
Triggering Recursive Destruction in Midtown
To complete this challenge, play Quick Match (Midtown) mode. Initially, no red-highlighted objects will be available. Wait for the first checkpoint; two buildings will then appear, capable of triggering Recursive Destruction.
While battling opponents, prioritize destroying these buildings. You might not always see the objects reappear immediately due to the fast-paced action, but several hits should suffice. If you don't trigger Recursive Destruction three times, simply replay the match. After completing this, you can move on to other challenges featuring Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman.
That's how to unlock Recursive Destruction in Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown in Marvel Rivals.
Marvel Rivals is currently available on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S.
