Use Flash Pod
Doshaguma is surprisingly agile for its size, capable of jumping and dashing around the arena, which can make it challenging to land hits, especially if you're wielding a melee weapon. To temporarily stun this beast, use a Flash Pod. It will blind the Doshaguma for a few seconds, providing you with an opportunity to strike or even mount its back.
Attack the Legs
Focus your attacks on Doshaguma's legs. The forelegs are particularly vulnerable, boasting a 3-star weakness, making them prime targets for dealing significant damage. The back legs, with a 2-star weakness, are less effective. Additionally, the head, also with a 3-star weakness, is another excellent spot to aim for. While it won't yield as much damage, targeting the tail is worthwhile since it can break and yield valuable monster parts.
Use Fire and Lightning
In your battle against Doshaguma in *Monster Hunter Wilds*, leverage fire and lightning elements for the best results. If you're a bowgun user, stock up on Flaming and Thunder ammo. For melee users, consider equipping your weapon with fire-enhancing decorations. When using fire, target the head and torso for maximum impact. For lightning attacks, focus solely on the head.
Beware of Blastblight
Doshaguma can inflict Blastblight, a dangerous status ailment that leads to an explosion if the gauge fills or you suffer a heavy attack. You can counteract this by consuming a Nulberry or using Deodorant. Alternatively, dodge-rolling three times will also dispel the effect.
Use Traps
While it's tempting to go all-out offensive, don't overlook the environment. Doshaguma's territory often includes natural traps you can exploit to slow it down. Remember to sheath your weapon before deploying your slinger, and ensure the monster is positioned directly under the trap before triggering it.

How to Capture Doshaguma in Monster Hunter Wilds
Instead of slaying Doshaguma, you can opt to capture it in *Monster Hunter Wilds*. To do so, weaken the monster until its HP drops to 20% or below. Then, set a Shock or Pitfall Trap in its path. Lure the beast into the trap using Luring Ammo or bait with meat if necessary. Once it's trapped, quickly administer tranquilizers; multiple shots may be required to ensure it falls asleep.
That's all you need to know about hunting and capturing Doshaguma in *Monster Hunter Wilds*. Before you face this monster, make sure to enjoy a hearty meal for those beneficial food buffs.
Monster Hunter Wilds is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
