Orna Launches NatureBlight: A Global Environmental Tale
Orna: The GPS RPG is set to embark on another grand event titled "Natureblight," launching on May 30th, 2025, and concluding on June 14th. As part of Terra's Legacy, this chapter invites players to engage in an environmental struggle.
In Natureblight, Orna: The GPS RPG presents a formidable new threat known as the Great Murk. Northern Forge Studios is highlighting ecological concerns, similar to past updates. This marks the studio's second collaboration with the Green Game Jam, supported by the Playing for the Planet Alliance. Familiar with Orna's integration of fantasy and real-world location data? The upcoming event will transport players to areas grappling with severe environmental challenges.
Throughout the event, players will explore seven real-world locations transformed within Orna’s universe. Each location features an animal guardian representing its ecosystem. For instance, you'll encounter the Beaver in Prince Edward County, Canada, and dive into Oceania’s Coral Reefs. Other stops include Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable Forest with the Mountain Gorilla, frozen relics in Dunkerque, France, featuring the Bone Mammoth, Ecuador’s Galapagos Islands with the Giant Tortoise, Chengdu’s Giant Panda, and the Macaroni Penguin defending the Antarctic Peninsula. By befriending these Animal Guardians, you can retain them as companions post-event.
The Great Murk arises as a consequence of the alien Terran civilization's environmental destruction, marked by deforestation, pollution, and extinction. Now, this blight is returning, requiring players to combat it. To align with the theme, the Natureblight pack is available via PlanetPlay, offering origin town cosmetics, character sprites, and consumable boosters. Discover more on the Google Play Store. Additionally, learn about Vampire’s Fall 2, the sequel to the dark fantasy RPG Vampire’s Fall: Origins.
