Pokémon Go's February Community Day: Karrablast, Shelmet, and Exciting Bonuses!

Get ready, Pokémon Go trainers! The February Community Day event details are here, featuring Karrablast and Shelmet! This exciting event runs from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time on February 9th, 2025.

Featured Pokémon:

Karrablast and Shelmet will be appearing more frequently in the wild, increasing your chances of encountering them—and even their Shiny forms! The real excitement lies in their evolutions.

Evolving Karrablast during the event (or until 10:00 p.m. local time on February 16th) yields an Escavalier knowing the powerful Charged Attack, Razor Shell (35 power in Trainer Battles, 55 power in Gyms and Raids). Similarly, evolving Shelmet within the same timeframe grants you an Accelgor with the Charged Attack, Energy Ball (a robust 90 power in all battle types).

Special Research and Timed Research:

Participate in the Special Research for encounters with Karrablast and Shelmet featuring special Dual Destiny-themed backgrounds, a Premium Battle Pass, and a Rare Candy XL. A Timed Research event follows, lasting a week after Community Day. Logging in during the main event unlocks tasks rewarding further encounters with these Pokémon and their special backgrounds.

Community Day Bonuses:

Prepare for boosted rewards! Enjoy 3x XP for catching Pokémon, double Candy, and a doubled chance for Candy XL from catches (for Trainers level 31 and above). Lure Modules and Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) will last a generous three hours. Plus, a photo-related surprise awaits!
