Following Pokémon Go's recent focus on time distortions and Hisuian Zorua sightings, trainers can now anticipate the next Ultra Unlock event. Steel and Scales launches on July 22nd, introducing formidable new Kalos-region Pokémon to the mobile game. The highly anticipated Honedge evolutionary line – including Doublade and Aegislash – will finally make their appearance.

The second Ultra Unlock maintains impressive bonuses, offering quadrupled XP and Stardust for catches alongside increased Shiny odds for Bagon, Beldum, and raid-exclusive Unown U. However, the most significant addition lies elsewhere.

A major highlight is the inclusion of Honedge's evolutionary family in Go Battle League rewards. Available starting from Rank Six during the event and Rank 16 thereafter, trainers will encounter these sword Pokémon through reward encounters, with boosted odds on premium tracks.

Wild spawns emphasize metallic and draconic species, featuring Magnemite, Dratini, Aron, Noibat, and Ferroseed appearing more frequently. Astute trainers might encounter the newly available Shiny Rookidee, while rare spawns like Axew and Goomy present exciting hunting opportunities.

The raid roster receives an equally impressive update: Honedge joins One-Star raids alongside Unown U, Gible, Klink, and Deino. Three-Star raids showcase Skarmory, Bisharp, Dragalge, and Turtonator – with several offering Shiny potential for collectors.
