The new MacBook Air is available in both 13-inch and 15-inch sizes, catering to different preferences for portability and screen real estate. The 13-inch model starts at a competitive $999, which is $100 less than the previous generation, while the 15-inch model is priced at $1,199. Equipped with the M4 chip, these MacBook Airs offer enhanced performance and longevity, featuring a baseline configuration of a 10-core CPU, 8-core GPU, 16GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage. For those seeking more power, customization options include up to a 10-core GPU, 32GB of RAM, and 2TB of storage.

On the design front, a fresh color option, Sky Blue, joins the lineup, offering a subtle blue-tinted silver finish. Other color choices include Midnight (black), Starlight (gold), and Silver (silver). Note that Space Gray is no longer an option, but Midnight and Silver provide similar aesthetics. Each MacBook Air comes with a matching MagSafe charging cable in the chosen color.

The built-in webcam, now dubbed the "Center Stage camera" by Apple, has been upgraded to a 12-megapixel sensor, promising clearer video calls for your FaceTime sessions.

While not a mandatory upgrade from last year's model, Apple claims the M4 MacBook Air is twice as fast as the M1 version, making it a compelling choice for those still using older hardware. It's also a monumental leap forward from the Intel-based MacBooks, with Apple stating it's 23 times faster than the latest Intel model.
