Roland-Garros eSeries by Renault Final Stage Starts May 24th in Spectacular Display
If there was any doubt that the Roland-Garros eSeries by Renault is one of the biggest eSport tournaments, let's dispel that myth right now. A staggering 515,000 players from 221 countries participated in 9.5 million Tennis Clash matches for a chance to reach the Final Stage. Now, eight finalists have emerged, setting the stage for an unforgettable event.
Reigning champion Alessandro Bianco, alongside winner of the first Open Qualifier Hizir Balkanci, will be joined by Anyndia Lestari, Omer Feder, Adjua Thembisa Boucher, Eugen Mosdir, Bartu Yildirim, and Samuel Sanin Ortiz. These elite players are set to face off in an intense battle on May 24th at the Roland-Garros Tenniseum.
This year's format is set to electrify fans. The eight finalists will be divided into two teams, each led by a tennis legend. Former ATP world Number 6 and last year's finalist Gilles Simon will captain one side, while former Wimbledon Champion Marion Bartoli will helm the other. The teams will compete in a series of matches, with the winners advancing to the Winner Bracket. But the excitement doesn't end there; eliminated players will have a second chance in the Loser Bracket, where teams dissolve, and only one will be crowned the Roland-Garros eSeries champion.
Adding to the thrill, renowned French personality and Twitch streamer Samuel Etienne, with over 1 million Twitch followers, will keep viewers entertained. He will be joined by esports expert Quento and former Tennis Clash number 1, Benny, aka GP365. The tournament will be held in the spirit of Roland-Garros, featuring a replica of the iconic Philippe-Chatrier court and custom outfits. Esteemed French umpire Aurélie Tourte will officiate what promises to be a series of exhilarating matches.
250 spectators will be in attendance at the auditorium, and the event will be broadcast live on Samuel Etienne's Twitch channel and the Roland-Garros YouTube channel at 4 pm CEST. Viewers can watch every match and enjoy interactive segments, with special guests engaging in passionate discussions and having fun around the worlds of tennis and eTennis.
