Tuxedo Labs has exciting news for fans of their beloved sandbox game, Teardown. They've announced the introduction of a multiplayer mode, fulfilling a long-standing goal and responding to fan requests. This new feature will initially be available through Steam's Experimental Branch, allowing players to test it out and provide valuable feedback. The developers are particularly keen on input from the modding community, as they will also release updates to the game's API. These updates will enable modders to adapt their creations for use in multiplayer environments.

In addition to the multiplayer update, Tuxedo Labs is set to release the Folkrace DLC, which will enrich the single-player experience. This expansion will introduce new maps, vehicles, and racing challenges, giving players the chance to compete in various events, earn rewards, and customize their vehicles to excel on the tracks.

The multiplayer mode will launch on the "Experimental" branch of Steam, where players can experience it firsthand. Simultaneously, the team will roll out API updates to ensure existing mods can seamlessly integrate into multiplayer settings. Once testing is successfully completed, multiplayer will become a permanent fixture of Teardown.

Looking to the future, Tuxedo Labs teased that two more major DLCs are currently in development, with more details to be revealed later in 2025. This promises even more content and exciting updates for Teardown enthusiasts.
