Tower of Fantasy to launch new Warp Server with complete overhaul of key systems
Tower of Fantasy is undergoing a major overhaul with the launch of its new Warp Server.
This 'pure MMO experience' eliminates unnecessary systems, including gacha mechanics.
New players can dive into events and rewards designed to help them quickly catch up.
One common challenge in nearly every MMO is when systems become too complex and overwhelming. As these games evolve over time, they often grow convoluted and hard to navigate. So why not begin again? That’s precisely what Hotta Studios has done with Tower of Fantasy’s new Warp Server, launching tomorrow.
The Warp Server removes mechanics like gacha, replacing them with traditional methods to unlock cosmetics and accessories. Weapons are now earned entirely through gameplay—new players can collect every weapon within about a month of play.
This shift also introduces seasons with exclusive rewards and a more consistent gameplay style over longer periods. Greater emphasis is placed on social interaction through the new Crew Base, designed for trading and community building. Newcomers can jump into Global to ask veterans for advice.
Fantasy-tic
It’s easy to assume this move is a response to declining interest, but ironically, it’s more about reinforcing Tower of Fantasy’s existing fanbase. The game already has a strong community, many of whom have long desired a streamlined, pure MMO experience—and for newcomers, it’s an ideal entry point.
Meanwhile, players who remain loyal to their original servers will find Version 5.5 Starfall Burst loaded with fresh content, including a new simulacrum—Veronika—(don’t forget to check our Tower of Fantasy tier list to see how she fits in).
Speaking of MMOs, you might assume the genre doesn’t thrive on mobile. But you’d be mistaken. Why not explore our list of the best mobile games like World of Warcraft for some top recommendations in the genre?
