Uncovering Mutt's Whereabouts in 'Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2'
Locate Mutt in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2: A Comprehensive Guide
Canine companions are invaluable assets in many video games, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is no exception. However, Henry's loyal dog, Mutt, disappears early in the game. This guide provides a straightforward method to reunite with your furry friend.
Mutt's Location
While a side quest involves finding Mutt, this guide offers a shortcut. Mutt is situated near a wolf cave southwest of the Nomads' Camp, just east of the river's bathing spot. The image below pinpoints his exact location.
The most efficient route is fast traveling to the Nomads' Camp, then heading southwest along the path into the forest. This approach usually leads directly to the cave's entrance. You'll hear Mutt's whimpers as you approach, guiding you to the clearing near the cave where he's surrounded by wolves.
Approaching triggers a cutscene introducing Mutt and the wolves, along with a combat command tutorial. You can either engage the wolves or flee. While combat is manageable, defeating them provides valuable skill-building opportunities.
After resolving the wolf encounter, Mutt becomes your companion. Hold L1 (or the equivalent button on your platform) while facing Mutt to interact, allowing you to feed him or send him home.
Finding Mutt During "The Invaders" Quest
Interestingly, you might stumble upon the wolf cave during "The Invaders" quest, specifically if you interact with the Cumans. After drinking with them, Henry follows Vasko uphill in search of more alcohol, leading directly to the cave. This triggers the Mutt and wolves encounter, but attempting this while intoxicated and in the dark is highly challenging.
It's strongly recommended to rescue Mutt during daylight before progressing "The Invaders" quest. Navigating the wolves while drunk and in darkness is significantly more difficult, potentially leading to accidental death even if you attempt to flee.
This concludes the guide on locating Mutt in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. For more game tips, visit The Escapist.
