Atomfall Developers Reveal Extended Gameplay Trailer with World and Survival Details

Atomfall, a new game from Rebellion, has unveiled an extended gameplay trailer showcasing its retro-futuristic world and core mechanics. Set in a 1962 post-nuclear disaster quarantine zone in northern England, players explore a hazardous landscape, uncovering secrets through investigation and NPC interactions. The player character lacks a predefined identity, fostering personalized gameplay.

Exploration and discovery are paramount, replacing traditional quest structures. Survival hinges on bartering essential resources with traders, as currency is worthless within the quarantine zone. Players face constant threats: gangs, cultists, mutants, and dangerous machinery. Careful resource management is crucial due to limited inventory space, forcing strategic equipment choices. The environment itself presents challenges, with traps and mines adding to the dangers.

Visually, Atomfall maintains Rebellion's atmospheric style, presenting a grim and detailed open world, though the graphics aren't revolutionary. The limited inventory adds a layer of strategic depth, impacting equipment choices. Melee weapon upgrades are particularly valuable against hostile factions and mutated creatures.

Atomfall releases on March 27th for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, and will be available on Game Pass on launch day.
