"Days Gone Remastered: Now with Adjustable Game Speed"
The highly anticipated Days Gone Remastered is on the horizon, and Sony's Bend Studio has recently shared exciting details about the accessibility features coming to the enhanced version of the game. One of the standout features is the ability to slow down Game Speed during intense moments, which can be adjusted from 100% to as low as 25%. According to Kevin McAllister, Bend Studio's Creative & Product Lead, this option is designed to help players who may find themselves overwhelmed in high-pressure scenarios, particularly when facing the game's infamous Freaker hordes. With the introduction of the new Horde Assault mode in the remaster, this feature aims to make the thrilling combat experience more accessible to a wider audience.
In addition to the Game Speed adjustment, Days Gone Remastered will offer a range of other accessibility enhancements. Players can look forward to customizable subtitle colors, a High Contrast Mode tailored to individual preferences, UI Narration for better navigation, and Collectible Audio Cues to aid in exploration. The auto-complete QTE feature, which was previously exclusive to the Easy difficulty, will now be available across all difficulty settings, from Easy to Survival II.
Bend Studio has also confirmed that most of these new accessibility options will be rolled out to the PC version of Days Gone. However, some features like feedback and control customization will require a compatible controller to function fully.
Days Gone Remastered was officially unveiled in February, boasting additional enhancements such as an improved photo mode, permadeath and speedrun options, alongside the accessibility features mentioned. This remaster brings back the beloved 2019 post-apocalyptic zombie action-adventure with a focus on the biker-centric storyline.
Mark your calendars for April 25, 2025, when Days Gone Remastered launches. Owners of the PS4 version will have the opportunity to upgrade to the PS5 remastered edition for just $10, ensuring everyone can enjoy the enhanced experience.
