How to Begin the Hermit Quest

The Hermit quest automatically unlocks upon completing Radovan's blacksmith quests. After recovering the lost cart, report to Radovan. He'll then reveal his intention to forge a wedding gift—a sword—thus initiating the Hermit questline. Before interacting with the hermit, you must gather information from the villagers of Troskowitz.

Gathering Information

Begin by speaking with Innkeeper Betty at the Troskowitz tavern, exhausting all dialogue options. Next, interview other villagers; the alehouse maid and trader are good starting points.

Acquiring Evidence

Speak to Gerda in Troskowitz; she witnessed a significant event. Persuasion or a small payment will yield crucial information. Then, interview Stanislav in Apollonia, again using persuasion or Groschen.

With this intel, locate the grave Gerda mentioned, requiring a spade (purchaseable from the Troskowitz trader or found in cemeteries). Dig to uncover Groschen and documents relating to the Knights of the Cross.
