These revealed cards belong to the special "Through the Ages" bonus sheet within the main set. While they're reprints of existing Magic cards with Final Fantasy-themed artwork rather than new mechanical designs, they feature iconic imagery spanning the entire franchise history - including art from the very first Final Fantasy game.

Unlike main set cards, Through the Ages selections won't typically be Standard-legal (unless the original card already was), serving primarily as alternate-art collectibles. However, they'll appear in both premium Collector Boosters and in one out of every three regular Play Boosters used for Draft and Sealed events.

Five of these six cards are Rare, appearing less frequently in packs, while Thrum of the Vestige (a reskinned version of Magic's iconic Lightning Bolt) appears as an Uncommon - likely making it one of the set's most impactful collectibles.

The Jodah, the Unifier card featuring Amano's Warrior of Light artwork should prove particularly popular, as Jodah remains one of Magic's most powerful and frequently played Commanders. Similarly, Final Fantasy IV's Cecil Harvey artwork has been adapted for Tymna the Weaver - one of Magic's strongest partner commanders with only one previous reprint.

Physical cards release June 13, with digital versions launching on MTG Arena and MTGO on June 10. Final Fantasy fans have additional reason to anticipate this crossover, as FF7 Remake director Tetsuya Nomura hinted that Sephiroth's card design contains special hidden details.
