Capcom’s Fastest-Selling Title to Date

Monster Hunter Wilds is Capcom's Fastest Selling Game, Moving 8 Million Copies in 3 Days

Monster Hunter Wilds (MH Wilds) has become Capcom’s top-selling game, with over 8 million units sold within three days of its launch. Capcom announced on their website that MH Wilds is the quickest title in the company’s history to reach this sales milestone.

Data from SteamDB shows MH Wilds achieved remarkable success at launch, drawing over 1.3 million concurrent players on Steam, despite mixed reviews. Capcom credits this achievement to extensive global marketing, participation in major gaming events, and an open beta that gave players a glimpse of the game’s features.

Recent Patch Resolves Critical Gameplay Issues

MH Wilds has rolled out fixes for several bugs that hindered player progress. On March 4, 2025, the official Monster Hunter Status account announced on Twitter (X) that hotfix patch Ver.1.000.04.00 is now available across all platforms.

This update addressed issues such as the "Grill a Meal" and "Ingredient Center" features failing to unlock despite meeting requirements, the Monster Field Guide being inaccessible, and a critical bug halting story progression in Chapter 5-2, "A World Turned Upside Down." Players must install this update to continue online play.

Some issues remain unresolved, including a network error triggered when firing an SOS flare after starting a quest, and Palico’s blunt weapon attacks failing to apply stun or exhaust effects. These multiplayer issues are expected to be tackled in an upcoming patch.
