Stellar Blade Director Excited About PC Mods

Stellar Blade director Kim Hyung Tae has expressed strong support for player mods and reportedly plans to try them himself.

According to multiple sources, Kim shared his enthusiasm during a press conference in Seoul's Yeouido district. "I fully endorse players creating mods," he stated. "Personally, I'm excited to experience some of the more creative modifications."

"I'm looking forward to seeing players develop unique mods and engage in friendly competition over who creates the most compelling content. My hope is that more players will participate in mod creation."

The timing appears perfect, considering the game hasn't officially launched on PC yet. The demo version already boasts numerous mods on Nexus Mods, ranging from cosmetic enhancements like new skins and nail polish to technical improvements including reshaders and VR support. Some adult-oriented modifications remain discreetly categorized.

IGN rated Stellar Blade 7/10 in its review: "While excelling at core action gameplay, the title falters with forgettable characters, underwhelming narrative, and some problematic RPG mechanics that prevent it from reaching the genre's highest tier."

The Steam release on June 11 will introduce PC-exclusive features like AI upscaling through Nvidia DLSS 4 and AMD FSR 3, uncapped framerates, expanded voiceover options including Japanese and Chinese, ultrawide monitor compatibility, enhanced environmental textures, and DualSense controller support. Initially region-restricted in over 100 territories, pre-orders are now available in more than 250 regions. While no multiplayer mod currently exists, data miners have uncovered potential multiplayer references in the game files.
