Remedy Entertainment's ambition: to become the European Naughty Dog. Inspired by Naughty Dog's cinematic masterpieces like the Uncharted series, Remedy's director Kyle Rowley, speaking on the Behind The Voice podcast, revealed their aspiration to be "the European counterpart" of the iconic studio. This influence is clearly visible in the development of Quantum Break and, more recently, Alan Wake 2.

Rowley's statement, "We should aspire to be the European version of Naughty Dog," underscores Remedy's commitment to high-quality cinematic storytelling and visuals. Alan Wake 2, with its stunning graphics and gripping narrative, exemplifies this ambition, solidifying Remedy's position as a leading European game developer.

Naughty Dog's legacy, particularly with Uncharted and the critically acclaimed, award-winning The Last of Us franchise, serves as a benchmark for Remedy. Both studios share a focus on immersive, single-player experiences.

Alan Wake 2, even over a year post-launch, continues to receive updates, demonstrating Remedy's dedication to player experience. A recent update introduces significant enhancements, most notably a new "Balanced" graphics option for the PS5 Pro, cleverly combining the strengths of its Performance and Quality modes. These refinements, alongside minor graphical tweaks for smoother framerates and reduced image noise, also address minor gameplay bugs, particularly within the Lake House expansion.
