Born in Sofia, Bulgaria, Antonov moved to Paris before embarking on his video game career in the mid-90s at Xatrix Entertainment (later Gray Matter Studios). He rose to prominence as a key creative force behind Half-Life 2's iconic City 17 at Valve. His work later extended to Dishonored at Arkane Studios, where he co-created the distinctive city of Dunwall. Beyond video games, Antonov contributed to animated films Renaissance and The Prodigies, and worked at Darewise Entertainment.
