New Gameplay Trailer for The First Berserker: Khazan Highlights Combat Mechanics
Neople, a Nexon subsidiary, is poised to unleash its highly anticipated hardcore RPG slasher, The First Berserker: Khazan, on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on March 27th. A recently released eight-minute gameplay trailer offers a captivating glimpse into the game's intricate combat system.
The trailer highlights three fundamental combat pillars: attacking, dodging, and defending. While defending consumes significantly more stamina than dodging, perfectly timed blocks not only reduce stamina drain but also mitigate stun effects. Dodging, conversely, utilizes less stamina but demands precise timing and quick reflexes to fully utilize its invulnerability frames. As with many souls-like games, mastering stamina management is crucial to success in The First Berserker: Khazan.
Depleting Khazan's stamina leaves him completely vulnerable. This mechanic, however, isn't just a vulnerability; it's a tactical advantage. Players can exploit this weakness against enemies with visible stamina bars, depleting their resources before unleashing devastating attacks. Enemies lacking stamina bars still succumb to persistent pressure, requiring patience, precise positioning, and impeccable timing. A key balancing element is that monster stamina does not regenerate.
